Volunteer
Why Volunteer?
Child Evangelism Fellowship relies on faithful volunteers to be the hands and feet of the ministry. Without volunteers, we would be unable to reach all of the children who so desperately need to hear about the Good News of Christ. Our volunteers teach scripture to the children, encourage them through prayer, bond with them through games, and disciple them through conversation.
What do Volunteers Do?
There are many areas in which you can volunteer.
Our most needed area of volunteers is Good News Club. Within Good News Club, there are many roles to fill. Bible Lesson teachers train hard to present the Gospel on a child’s level each week in a fun and interactive way. Assistant teachers can share the Gospel through songs, games, prayer, and more! Another vital part of Good News Club is shepherding time. Shepherds take prayer requests, help with snack, handle discipline, lead small group times, and work weekly to build a strong relationship with their students. All of our volunteers are well trained before they are sent out to conduct club. Please see our training page to learn more.
During the summer, we also need volunteers for our 5-Day Clubs. Each year, we train local youth to conduct and teach 5-Day Club. Please see our page on CYIA for more information. Aside from teachers, we need volunteers to host 5-Day clubs in their church, their local park, and even their own homes!
How can I volunteer?
Good News Clubs are sponsored by local churches who provide financial backing as well as volunteers for their clubs. To start, check with your local church to find out if they sponsor a Good News Club in your area. If not, our office would be happy to connect you with a nearby church in need of workers. If you have questions or would like to learn more about how you can volunteer, please send us an email using the form below.
