It all starts with training…

  • Keeping both children and workers safe

  • How to counsel someone with Biblical questions

  • And so much more!

There are many opportunities to receive training from CEF

  • CEF offers training throughout the year specifically tailored for local Good News Club volunteers. Typically, this training is held in August and January, preparing GNC teams for the upcoming school semester. This training is open for anyone who wants to learn more about how to share the Gospel with children. Check the calendar for available dates.

  • When requested, CEF can come to a specific church location to teach the church’s volunteers and Sunday School teachers about a particular topic. To learn more or to schedule a training session for your church, please call 704-871-2424.

  • TCE 1 is a 33 hour accredited, academic course designed to offer a fresh approach to evangelizing and teaching children. This class is useful for Good News Club volunteers, Sunday School teachers, parents, and children’s ministers. The course covers how to share the Gospel with children in a fun and effective way, explaining how to integrate the Gospel into any Bible story. It also teaches how to manage a classroom and keep children engaged in learning. This course is held in the NC Piedmont area once per year. For more information, please contact 704-871-2424.

Why is Training Important?

If you needed open heart surgery to save your life, would you let someone operate on you if he was not trained? Certainly not! When lives are on the line, we rely on trained and skilled individuals to handle the situation. Unfortunately, when it comes to eternal life, many people often overlook the importance of training. When we share the Gospel, eternal lives are on the line. It is vital that our teachers and volunteers have proper training to avoid a misleading or confusing message.
